Im happy you started and new coin thread DWS, im excited to see it start up. Hope everyone else gets on here soon and starts chatting. Sites looking good by the way.
Hey thanks! I've really only invited a handful of people so I can get some kind of feedback on how its looking before I start "spreading the word". Just wanted to fix out any bugs/glitches and make any appropriate adjustments, so I can release this with a bang! .
I've just looks at the member list and there's a creepy 69 years old man creeping here... Not sure if it is save to post here Edit: On top of that, we have an Admin that uncertain of which gender he/she is....
LMAO!!! KoW!!! Likes to pretend he's an old man haha. I was always wondering why I had the "?" in my DP where as everyone else has the other symbol haha.
Not really...I'm just not too creative Any help is always appreciated, but will definitely try something better myself.
Glad to hear! Tough part is to get everyone to come over and start talking...so I'll soon be announcing an incentive - Stay tuned!
In terms of rules. Nothing but common sense! No trigger happy mods, etc.! Just to give you an idea: If you're spamming with certain things, trolling, or causing fights. That's essentially the only thing that'll get your post deleted/banned. Trophy Points = still in the works. I am working on an implementation that will allow you to redeem points for products on the coin store. This will give everyone an incentive to hop on over here! .
Do I need to make a separate account to buy something from the store, plus when I am in the store and click on the forum link it wont bring me back to this forum. Just asking as I had an item in the shopping cart and it wanted me to log in but I was already logged in too this forum...
Hey, creating a separate account is indeed mandatory for the forum and coin store. As I'm sure you've noticed, this is the case on most websites that have a forum and a non forum section, whether its a site you play games on or a store. This is due to: 1) The platforms for the forum and store are completely different 2) Data segregation between sensitive information (such as your account info on the store) and non-sensitive info (i.e. an alias on a forum) is always a great internal control. Our store uses SSL encryption when loading any page. This ensures your address, and any other info remain private! Something like that on an open forum doesn't make sense, etc. I'm sure we can pay an IT professional to link the two things together, but in the end...is it worth spending thousands on something like that? The thousands which will just get passed on to the consumer in terms of pricing on the coins? And this is why most websites (Including the Kitco forum and store) segregate these. In terms of the issue in linking to the forum from the store. We are working on that and expect to have that resolved by the weekend! .
Thanks I figured it was something like that but didn't want to make another account until I was sure.
Just thought I'd update here: All issues we were having due to an SSL issue have been resolved . The tough ones been dealt with, now just have to fix the forum link!
